Mantra #5 — The Underground Ethics Charter

Bring the Light

Not the darkness — One of the 10 mantras of the Underground Ethics Charter, an ethical framework for a more conscious nightlife culture.

Participate

"Every person brings an energy to the collective space. Joy, gratitude and openness elevate the vibe; heaviness contracts it."

What this means in practice

  • Arrive with a conscious and open intention
  • Be mindful of the emotional impact you project around you
  • Avoid turning the party into a personal outlet
  • Cultivate gratitude, simple pleasure and presence
  • Share joy without invading, radiate without overwhelming

Why it matters

The vibe is not abstract: it's the sum of the inner states present in the room. When darkness spreads, the celebration closes. When light circulates, the space opens, relaxes and elevates.

Bring the light — not the darkness.

The context

Bringing the light means choosing to nourish the experience rather than weigh it down. A dancefloor is a space for celebration, liberation and sharing — not a place to transmit your tensions, anger or undigested conflicts.

Emotional energy circulates. It spreads. One heavy person can affect an entire circle; conversely, a luminous presence can rebalance a room. Bringing the light doesn't mean being fake, euphoric or performative. It means not imposing your darkness on others, and recognizing that the collective space deserves care, respect and intention.

Stay connected

Connect your voice to the collective.

The Charter is built through connection — to yourself, to others, to the night. Your voice directly shapes its final form.
